So it arrived in the mail whilest on the coast. A decent sized box for its thin weight confirming that P and M have pulled through, again. Rejoice and connect. The sweet memories of youth immediately envelope marshmallow daydreams beyond lucy in her graham cracker miniskirt chocolate tubetop afire. Refreshing and intimate. The crackle and snap of the “pure”. The first pulse of a sustaining beat sparks the urge. The compulsion. The dancing ensues. I’m left sticky and crumby and quite satisfied a bit of overindulgence perhaps for my supply already runs low with half the goodness depleted. But there is another. Do or not do. There is no try. ; )

When will these babies ever learn? The count just increased to 24. Right there inside the dog park next to a dogless dogtag, a nameless phone number only dogtag, purple even, sits binky number 24 anticipating my arrival. Since the tag was running solo I not going to call.

Today was full of excitement as we took over the the new old temporary dog park. It started with a little white ball. At first I though it a ping pong ball but it was to weighty upon lifting for that. The hard rigid plastic was smooth with a translucent milky look. Score. Soon after, I found a small acrylic level. Probably a long defunct keychain but still quite effective in it clear transparent shell all squared up and angular. Another score. The large can of unopened peanuts was certainly a surprise. Left under a tree I though it was more trash to be discarded so once again I was surprised by the weight and even more so when the pull-seal was still intact. Since I don’t really eat peanuts, or anything else with them, I’ll bring them back for the zen squirrel masters of the park.

Hot off the press today, a cool raglan jersey for Prananda yoga studio in north portland. The classic lotus flower logo looks hot in red with a white fill. We love you Joy. Namaste. On a different plain I just handed off the Panzergod T’s to a rather nefarious fellow. Truth be told he seemed quite a pleasant guy. Was stoked with the black T with 2 sided discharge printing. Tight. Tonight is the 2009 Miss White Trash Pageant of which I can not attend but printed some new black shirts which may actually sell. Stay tuned…

Today’s find is a beautiful hand-beaded necklace made of white and hematite-looking glass beads a most unfortunate loss I’m sure . It was next to a pair of black socks which I did not deem collection worthy. I did find a couple of plastic rings probably left over from some birthday party. They’re cheapie plastic and most likely Fred Meyer cake bauble. Just one of those jewelry filled days.

The chicken has been swamped and if it hasn’t been for late night walks and battlestar galactica he might have gone under. Work work work keeps this clucker on track and seeing light at the end of the tunnel*. AnnaBananna’s NW celebrated their 5000th consecutive day OPEN for business. Talk about no rest. Woah.
Friends of Trees has been huge with all their plantings and volunteer forces. Somehow, well because of the chicken, Whole Foods came a’knocking and launched their new store picnic with a run of tees. Oh what summer joy.
* The light at the end of the tunnel just may be a train.

So the monster is done. 1500+ shirts for The Dandy Warhols ready to disperse around the nation as the band readies for their month long tour promoting their new album …Earth to the Dandy Warhols… This monster… 11″ x 18″ graphic… printing three colors on both sides complete with tour dates and venues designed by Peter Holmstrom himself is a beauty. You gotta love that kind of band involvement.

It’s official. A new record has been set. Number 23 is in the house. I find a lot of binkies around the park. Those pacifiers come in all sorts of colors and combinations and sizes for that matter. Probably due to the mommy brigades out there. You’ve seen them in the mornings, the gathering of fresh moms pushing strollers in packs exercising the baby fat away. I commend them for their diligence to health and for supplying me with yet one more bit of art fodder to obsess upon. Keep on rolling… and keep those babies sucking
.

Cool Huck Lab hat found not far from the pond. Noticed it because of the cool distinct logo embroidered on the front only to be confirmed by bold huck lab on the back. Met a while back with Jay? to work on some projects but nothing ever materialized and that’s just fine. Though not a client of the chicken there is much respect for them doing their own thing. And its really cool. Check’em out!

Today’s park find was readily located at our usual tossing spot. An orange and blue Nerf football with a small tear by the naval. While no chunks missing the tear revealed a hollow spot. Tested my throwing accuracy as we circled about. My little senorita did not like the pair of screaming balloons accompanying the nerf, at least not after I blew one up and let it fly. Won’t make that mistake again. Boy she can run fast when properly motivated ; )
