Hourly Design Rate: $60
Design rate applies to typesetting, layout, clean-up, scanning and design. The design process starts when you e-mail your idea and/or artwork to us. We'll take a look and get back to you with an approximation of how much time it will take.
If the time estimate is agreeable to you, a deposit of $45 will be billed to you. Once the deposit is made, work is started on your graphics. When a proof is ready, a small .gif file will be e-mailed to you for proofing purposes. All work is timed and updated on every email you recieve. No surprises. Once a design is O.K.'d by you, full payment is due. When full payment is made your designs will be e-mailed to you, or a link will be made possible for you to download the art directly onto your computer.
If excessive time is spent on the design and we cannot create artwork that is satisfactory to you, an e-mail will be sent to you explaining the conclusion of our collaboration, and the deposit is kept for time spent.
Files are generally created in Illustrator as vector art and saved as .pdf files. These files can be enlarged or reduced with no degeneration to the art. Other files like .jpg's, and .gif's are also made available to you for online use.
Designs are then your responsibility. Make copies of your files. All designs are kept on file here for 2 years. If you ever need additional copies of these files, there is a $30 upload fee.
Spot-color design for screen printing is created differently than a design for regular offset printing. Since screen printing is a stencil-type process with each color printing separately, the design process has special considerations and therefore can be more time-consuming than designing for offset.
Pricing includes time for consultation. It does not include printing.
